GALA DAY AND PARADE 2025

GALA DAY – AN EVENT NOT TO BE MISSED – Click through the attachments for initial info!

Come in a for an early lunch and visit the new addition of a ‘Street Food Zone’ with mouth-watering cuisine. The Gala Parade – with a theme of ‘CIRCUS’ – will be an opportunity for groups, family and friends to find a prize-winning costume – maybe an acrobat, Ringmaster, juggler – and get involved. If you wish to take part at the start of the Parade from Romans’ Edge or join in en-route to the Recreation Ground, just message Godmanchester Association’s Chairman with your plans.  Ian the Juggler will be on hand to entertain attendees during the afternoon and the Big Bubble display for kids is always a hit.  See you there . . .

EASTER EGG HUNT & TRAIL – WHAT AN EVENT!

EASTER EGG HUNT & TRAIL – another busy, fun event for the families! Clues to solve on the Trail, back into Island Hall to hunt for ‘golden eggs’ and everyone went home with a goody bag. Even the accompanying adults took home, or ate on the spot, that coveted creme egg! Take a look at the array of beautifully designed bonnets. Well done everyone and to our team as well! A HUGE THANK YOU TO OUR LOVELY EASTER BUNNY – hiding en-route!

2024 BONFIRE NIGHT – WOW!

BONFIRE NIGHT – what a turnout and apologies for the wait for some of you to access the event! Please find attached a lovely photo of the guys contributed by Godmanchester Community Academy – who look absolutely terrified – and 2 small videos taken by Stephen Spencer capturing the atmosphere not only from the fireworks itself, but also from the crowd.
