Godmanchester Community Association will be unable to hold this popular, family-friendly event at the Godmanchester Rovers FC due to the installation of a ‘3G Pitch’. Alternative options have been checked as potential sites, but it has been decided to take a break and, hopefully, return in 2026! This has not been an easy decision for the Committee to make, given the number of years we have been running the event for the community, but it is the only way forward this year.

Godmanchester Community Association’s ‘HALLOWEEN SPOOKY PARTY’ is not far away.  Have you booked your ticket yet for this fang-tastic afternoon?  Don’t forget to enter the ‘Scary Costume Competition’ – treats for the winners – and join in with the musical games, including bumps and statues.  Who can find the eerie WITCH, PUMPKIN, GHOST and SPIDER?  Don’t forget before leaving, let’s make a HUGE WAVE with the Parachute Game and a loud countdown sees the arrival of a 100+ SPOOKY BALLOONS.  Thanks to PINNIES, for providing the snack bags for all ticketholders.

Organised by Godmanchester Community Association and hosted by the Royal Oak Bowls Club on Sunday, 31 August in the sunshine. 11 teams took part with ‘The Brussel Sprouts’ – a team from Godmanchester’s Allotment Association – being the overall winners. Well done everyone!

GALA WEEKEND

What a fun, family, BUSY event. Thank you to everyone for making it such a success. EASTER EGG HUNT & TRAIL – another busy, fun event for the families! Clues to solve on the Trail, back into Island Hall to hunt for ‘golden eggs’ and everyone went home with a goody bag. Even the accompanying adults took home, or ate on the spot, that coveted creme egg! Take a look at the array of beautifully designed bonnets. Well done everyone and to our team as well! A HUGE THANK YOU TO OUR LOVELY EASTER BUNNY – hiding en-route!

BONFIRE NIGHT – what a turnout and apologies for the wait for some of you to access the event!
